The Independent Adoption Center is a compassionate and dedicated domestic open adoption agency. Since our founding in 1982, the IAC has successfully placed over 4,000 newborns with families in the United States.
As a nonprofit agency, the IAC is pleased to acknowledge the ongoing corporate sponsorship of Google Foundation, Salesforce.com, and Vertical Response.
Adoption Information
The IAC is staffed by social workers with Masters degrees or higher who provide adoption counseling to adoptive parents and birth parents throughout the entire adoption process.
Adoption costs at the Independent Adoption Center are on a sliding scale so that all families can better afford to adopt.
Clinical Director Kathleen Silber is a nationally regarded adoption expert. She has written numerous adoption books and articles, such as Dear Birthmother.
Among US adoption agencies we are the leader in gay adoption, and never discriminate based on marital status, religion, ethnicity, or race.
The IAC is licensed in California, Georgia, Indiana, North Carolina, Texas, New York, and Connecticut and has placed newborns in 49 states.
