Carla and Paul Tomasi
Alameda, CAHello! We’re Paul and Carla Tomasi of Alameda, Calif. , a little town on the outskirts of San Francisco. We want to be parents and hope a brave birthmom like you will give us that chance. Carla was adopted, too, so she feels especially well-equipped to be an adoptive mother. Call us any time or e-mail thetomasifamily@gmail.com. Thank you so much.
Welcome
Hello, We're Paul and Carla Tomasi of Alameda, Calif., near San Francisco. This must be a very trying time for you, and we know that you will soon have to make a difficult decision. Thank you for considering adoption, and if it turns out to be the right choice for you, we hope you will consider us to love and cherish your precious baby. Take a peek at our profile and photos and contact us with any questions. We hope to hear from you.
How we met
Carla moved in next door to Paul when we both lived in the San Francisco peninsula town of San Mateo. One evening she decided to take a chance and casually drop in on the cute guy next door. It paid off: Paul invited her to watch The Simpsons, made her a big batch of chocolate chip cookies, and a year later proposed on a trip to Costa Rica. We love each other and are committed to each other and our future together, which we hope will soon include a child to love and cherish. We’ve been married for 14 wonderful years.
More about us
Carla's happy childhood in her native Texas was full of animals! Dogs, cats, chickens, rabbits, ponies, you name it! Thanks to her southern roots she makes a mean chicken-fried steak. She's a freelance editor and writer who works at home and looks forward to devoting herself to a baby. Paul grew up in California with two sisters and lots of cousins who he remains close with. He's a car and football fanatic who also happens to be a very good cook and tender-hearted softie. We look forward to sharing our love of critters and California culture with our child.
Where we live
Alameda is an island town of 65,000 in the middle of San Francisco Bay. We have excellent schools, a bustling small downtown area with art-deco theater, and our own beach. We live in a wonderfully eclectic, multi-ethnic neighborhood of old Victorian houses, with world-class universities and all sorts of natural wonders less than an hour's drive away. We feel lucky to live in such a magical place, and can't wait to share it with our own child.
