Greetings from Brian, Sarah & Hannah!

We feel privileged that you are reading about our family as you consider open adoption for your baby. We imagine that you have so much to think about at this time, and our prayer for you is that you have the love and support of those near and dear to you. We would love to talk with you and hear about you and your journey, and to answer any questions you might have for us. Above all, we wish you peace and assurance as you make these important decisions for your baby. We have known each other since high school, and were married for many years before becoming parents. We were so excited when we learned that Hannah was going to be born! We have been blessed every day to have Hannah in our family, and cannot wait to welcome another little one! We have so much room in our hearts for another child, and we are eager to introduce the newest member of our family to hikes along the river and sunny afternoons splashing in the wading pool.

About Sarah by Brian

Sarah has many interests and talents – she loves arts and crafts, reading, and baking. I love watching her share these activities with Hannah, and as a result, Hannah is now interested in everything from lemurs to photography! Sarah is also a very compassionate and approachable person, and grounds herself in a lifelong Christian faith. I often play the piano while Sarah sings hymns and reads Hannah Bible stories. I know that no matter what our next child’s interests are, Sarah will be ready and able to encourage them as they learn and grow.

About Brian by Sarah

Brian's work as a software engineer suits his many gifts - he is smart and observant, and he has a terrific sense of humor. He loves to make Hannah giggle, and I am looking forward to overhearing another happy child laughing their way through storytime before bed. Brian is always up for a game of kickball with Hannah, and has been endlessly patient as he teaches her to swim. He is very thoughtful and attentive to the needs of others and is always ready to lend a helping hand. I am lucky to be married to this man who loves me so much. Brian is attuned to what is unique about each person, and he is eager to see what the new little one will want to learn with Daddy!

About Hannah

Hannah is so excited about becoming a big sister! She feels very grown up now that she can read books to her younger cousins, and she likes to imagine other ways that she could help with a younger sister or brother, such as helping with diaper changes or singing to the baby in the car. She loves to dance and to sing songs that she has made up. Through her interactions with our patient and snuggly cat, Hoot, Hannah is learning more about how to be patient and considerate. She loves to be the one to feed him in the morning! We think Hannah will be a great big sister!
