Who we Are

We are Ron, Coral, Kyle, and Conner. We have been dreaming of adding to our family for many years and believe open adoption is the path for us. We look forward to finding that special birth mother and child who will help us complete our family. Our family was created when Coral's 9yr old son, Kyle, asked Ron, who lived across the street to teach him how to mow the lawn, so he could help his mom out in her yard. Ron and Kyle quickly formed a lasting friendship and soon thereafter Coral and Ron began to fall in love. We have been together ten years now and our love continues to grow every day.

About Ron

More than anything, Ron wanted to be a husband and father. When we married his dreams of building a family came together quickly and he could not be happier. Ron can’t wait for another child to love as his own. Ron cherishes each and every relationship. As a husband, father, son, or friend, he makes everyone feel like they are special and deserve his complete attention. Ron loves being outside and we do many activities that keeps us as close to nature as possible. We go camping, boating, and hiking all the time. He has shared Yosemite's beauty, the Sacramento River's excitement, and the incredible view from Mt Tamalpais.' Ron's always worked outdoors and he wouldn't have it any other way. He worked construction alongside his father, uncles, and grandfather in a multi-generational family business from the time he was old enough to hold a hammer. Ron now works maintaining the levee's and waterways throughout the Sacramento Valley, but enjoys using his woodworking and construction skills on hobby projects with the boys. Ron is counting the days until he can place yet another baby in his backpack carrier and hike through a forest, dip some little toes in a mountain creek, and most of all share the joys of a toasting marshmallows over a campfire.

About Coral

It's appropriate that Coral is her name. She grew up next to the ocean in Monterey, California. We spend lot's of time taking family trips to the beach, exploring tide-pools, learning about sea life and building sand castles. She looks forward to sharing, the feeling of warm sand between your toes, smelling the salt air, and feeding the seagulls left over picnic lunches with another little boy or girl soon. Coral works from home, which allows her the luxury of helping out in the kids classrooms and going on field trips. She also enjoys being home after school, when all the kids on our street come over to play. Coral's love of cooking and crafts is often shared with everyone in the neighborhood. Whether it be a gingerbread house competition, a giant paper wall mural on our fence for all the kids to paint, or a summertime 'shake & make' ice cream activity, she always gets everyone involved! Coral's love for children has been with her always. She's a caretaker by nature. She was the neighborhood sitter, worked the Sunday school nursery , and volunteered at day-care after school. Being a mother is what she does best. She 'engages' kids. She makes learning an adventure, turns chores into a challenging competition, and can turn anger between friends into a stand-up comic show! She loves reading with kids and hopes to sit in her rocker reading to another toddler until they fall into a peaceful sleep, soon.

Where we live

We are blessed to live in a very close-knit neighborhood. Across the street (where Ron used to live), are Ron's parent's. Having 'Grammy and Pop' so close let's us share everyday events often. Grammy looks forward to having another 'pumpkin' to love on every day, walk to school, and work in their classroom. In the next house over, lives Coral's Dad. Grandpa is there to cheer at every soccer game, karate match, and school play! He can't wait to share his love of vegeteable gardening with another grandchild. 'Grandma & Papa', Coral's Mom & Step-Dad live less than a mile away and we love to ride our bikes and meet at the park for a picnic on Saturdays. They anticipate a new addition to our family with so much joy! Our neighborhood is filled with our friends and extended families. Coral established the school PTA and Ron is on the board of the community youth soccer organization. Both of us help maintain and operate the neighborhood community pool club and spend lots of time there enjoying BBQ's, pool parties, swim lessons, scavenger hunts, and the annual swim-a-lympics we coordinate each summer for the neighborhood kids.
