About Us
We are college sweethearts who met in snowy Chicago. We sat next to each other in our college band and secretly liked one another. It took us weeks to get up the nerve to talk to each other, but when we finally did, it was truly the start of something wonderful! After our first date, we knew we were meant to be together. We quickly fell in love and have been married for twelve amazing years. We truly are best friends, and we have always hoped to adopt a child. There is so much love that we have to share, and we cannot wait for all the fun adventures we will have as a family.
About Scott By Sarah
Scott has such a big heart and will do anything to help others. He loves teaching clarinet and saxophone lessons because he helps kids express themselves and feel good about their accomplishments. He is encouraging and makes learning fun by keeping everyone laughing. He will be an amazing father because he will always be there to comfort our child no matter what, whether it’s a nighttime feeding or to ease little tummy aches. Scott loves to travel and has special childhood memories of going on business trips with his father. He is already planning special adventures he wants to experience with our child. From meeting Mickey Mouse at Disney World to seeing New York skyscrapers, our child is sure to have plenty of magical moments with dad! Scott also enjoys being outside in nature, spending time with family and reading. He looks forward to curling up and reading bedtime stories with our little one as he or she drifts off to dreamland. I feel so blessed to have him as my husband and best friend, and I know he will be an awesome dad.
About Sarah By Scott
Sarah is the most compassionate person I know and she’s thrilled about being a mom someday. She loves helping people everyday as a therapist in her own private practice. People are eager to work with her because she is so welcoming and loves to offer unconditional support and care to people. Given her flexible schedule, Sarah is really looking forward to spending fun-filled afternoons with our child. Since she loves to bake, she is excited about having a helper and official taste tester in the kitchen! She can already imagine our little one wanting to lick the icing off the spoon after making homemade cupcakes. Sarah also enjoys crafts and board games. She’ll have so much fun playing Hungry Hungry Hippo or making finger-painted masterpieces together with our child! Sarah already takes every babysitting opportunity that comes along so she will be more than ready to care for our child. Whether it’s changing little diapers, singing lullabies or snuggling together, I know she’ll be so nurturing and gentle as a mother. When Sarah is with our godson, it is not unusual to find the two of them crawling on the floor, searching for imaginary dinosaur bones together. I cannot wait to see her pour out her love and playfulness with our child...she will be an amazing mom!
Family and Friends
We have a wonderful group of friends, a loving family, and a supportive church. Everyone is thrilled about us adopting and cannot wait to welcome our new addition! This will be the first grandchild in both families, and everyone is so excited for us to adopt. Sarah’s parents live close by and they’ll love spending plenty of quality time getting to know their grandchild. We look forward to family dinners and starting new holiday traditions with our little one. Scott’s family lives in his hometown of Muskegon, Michigan. We can already imagine seeing our child’s eyes light up as they see his or her first White Christmas there! Grandma and Grandpa Moore are looking forward to helping their grandchild build a snowman, with a carrot nose and all. Afterwards, we can all warm up around the fireplace while sipping yummy hot chocolate with marshmallows!
