Steven and Wendy Sustachek
Racine, WIHi! We are thrilled to become parents for the first time through open adoption! We have a strong family and community support base waiting to welcome you and a child with open arms. We know that, with your love and ours, our child will flourish into a loving, caring and compassionate person. We would love to get to know you, please contact us anytime!
How we met . . .
We met in the fall of 1998 through the bass player of Steve’s band, "Roadhouse Ross and the Real Deal." We found we shared a lot of the same interests and soon our friendship turned to love. We were married in June 2002 and have now settled in Racine, Wisconsin. We continue to enjoy many of the same things, including singing in the choir, golfing, going to a ball game, taking roadtrips, finding time to watch a movie together, and taking our dog, Boo Boo, for a walk.
About Wendy
Wendy is currently a substitute teacher, but will be a STAY AT HOME MOM with our little one. Once our child is in school, she’s looking forward to teaching again, and enjoying summers and holiday breaks with our child. Wendy is a mentor to three young ladies. They love to get together for some “girl” time to do homework, chat, or take in a movie! You should see her when she reads- the stories come alive as she gives each character their own voice! She’s looking forward to knitting blankets and sweaters to keep our little one warm during those cold Wisconsin winters. She also enjoys baking and can’t wait to share her favorite recipes with our child. ~Steve
About Steve
Steve is an extremely smart person, and I know that he will be a big help if our child ever gets stuck in science! Being a Maintenance Technician in a factory makes him invaluable- he can fix almost anything! He's a very talented guitarist and singer, though he'll never say so, and is currently in a classic rock band. I know he'll enjoy singing lots of different songs to entertain our little one. Believe it or not, but for a rock musician, Steve is a very quiet and cuddling sort, and I know our child will spend hours cuddling with Daddy. ~Wendy
There's So Much to Do in Racine!
We enjoy seeing all the children in our neighborhood play together and are eager to see our child join in the fun. We have a big yard that is just waiting for little feet to explore or for a summer game of tag. There are great parks and beaches nearby and we’re looking forward to building sand castles and wading in Lake Michigan with our little one. We can't wait to support our child in the activities or sports through Racine's Recreation Department. We look forward to introducing our child to Steve’s extended family in Georgia on our annual trips. Every year we take a trip to Washington Island, Wisconsin to fish, hike, and relax. We also enjoy evening sing-alongs, which are usually accompanied by Steve and his guitar. We are huge sports fans, and love to cheer on our favorite teams: the Milwaukee Brewers, Green Bay Packers, and Wisconsin Badgers. We are excited to see which teams our child will cheer for!
