IAC'S STRATEGIC PLAN FOR 2009-2014 From this page you can download the Independent Adoption Center's (IAC) first strategic plan, setting out what we seek to achieve by 2014 and what we need to accomplish to achieve our aspirations. It builds upon the existing strengths of the Center and takes forward the Center's unique focus on ensuring that each adoptive placement is in the best interest of the child, as well as the birth and adoptive families. This plan was developed with the input of the entire adoption community including staff, board members, alumni and current clients - both adoptive parents, and birth parents, and adoption professionals. As a result this is also a public document so that the entire community can know where the IAC is going and how we intend to get there. The plan is, however, a living document that will be reviewed annually by the Board of Directors to both assess the progress we have made toward our goals and also to make adjustments as needed. Some of our goals are big with implications for everyone involved in adoption. By making this strategic plan a public document, we also hope it will be an inspiration to the entire adoption community to work together toward these shared goals. |
