I know that Mississippi does not allow LGBT couples to adopt but it is my understanding that they can as a single person. I know this as a fact bc of a friend who is presently adopting as a single person. Will your agency work with LGBT singles in Mississippi on this basis?

Mississippi permits single LGBT parents to adopt. We will work with single LGBT parents who live in Mississippi, but we cannot work with families who are not single. Mississippi will not approve an interstate adoption if there are unmarried, unrelated adults living in the same home.

Needless to say IAC supports full equality for LGBT families, and opposes any laws that do not support that stance.
