What is the lowest price to adopt a child?
There is no cost to adoptive parents who adopt children through the foster care system. The costs are borne by the state. The foster care system usually has older children available for adoption who have been removed from their parents due to abuse and/or neglect.
Private infant adoptions, like those done by the IAC, are voluntary. The adoptive parents pay the costs of these adoptions. Costs vary widely from about $15,000 to more than $30,000.
IAC has a sliding scale based on a family's income. Our fee's are at the lowest end of the spectrum for private adoptions because we are a non-profit organization. This means none of your fee's go to shareholders profits. All fee's are used to give the best service possible, and in pursuit of our mission to find loving homes for all children.
